Richard Heon

Richard Heon, age 79, passed away on Friday, March 22, 2024.

He was born on November 16, 1944, in Rochester, New Hampshire, son of the late Albert Heon and Irene Oullette Heon.

Throughout his life, Richard served his country with honor and distinction, retiring from both the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Coast Guard. His commitment to military service was a testament to his patriotism and selflessness.

His family was at the center of his world, and he cherished every moment spent with them. In his retirement his passion for tinkering brought him joy and fulfillment.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Noel Heon.

Mr. Heon is survived by his loving wife, Jacqueline Gauthier Heon; children, Michell Harvey, Christina Heon, and Richard Heon; grandchildren, Jericha Detonnancourt, Wyatt Detonnancourt, Adam Harvey, Madelyn Harvey, Ethan Harvey, Natalie Bibeault, Xander Heon, and Drea Heon; brothers, Willard Heon, Albert Heon, and David Heon; sisters, Frances Gonalez, Rena Tucker, and Pauline Freund. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Service arrangements will be forthcoming.

Mr. Johnny “Mike” Whitfield

Mr. Johnny “Mike” Whitfield, age 77, of Cedartown, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, February 12, 2026.  

He was born on March 27, 1948. He was the son of the late John Parker Whitfield and Edith Ann Whitfield Willingham. 

Mr. Whitfield is survived by his son, Brian Whitfield and several other extended family members. 

Mr. Whitfield is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Renee Willingham Whitfield and brother, Howard Glenn Whitfield. 

A graveside service for Mr. Whitfield will be held on Monday, February 16, 2026 at two o’clock in the afternoon in the family lot in Polk Memory Gardens Cemetery with Rev. Danny Tucker officiating.
