Mrs. Sandra Sue Mobley, age 83, of Cedartown, GA, passed away Sunday, May 31, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Mobley was born November 6, 1942, in West Point, GA, to the late Burie Thompson and the late Mildred Thompson. Mrs. Mobley was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.
She loved to cook and provide for her family, which she did all the days of her life. Mrs. Mobley was a faithful and dedicated member of the Jackson Chapel Methodist Church, where she served as the Church Secretary and beloved Sunday School Teacher.
Few people can leave as indelible a mark on their community as Mrs. Mobley, and she will be dearly missed by her family, Church, and community; but her memory will live on in all who were blessed to know her.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Mobley is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dorian Mobley, Sr., whom she married June 5, 1964 and to whom she devoted her life to until his passing; an infant son; son, Dorian Mobley, Jr.; and her brother, Herman Thompson.
Mrs. Mobley is survived by her loving son, Tracy Mobley and his wife, Tracy; daughter-in-law, Kathy Mobley; loving grandchildren, Jessica Dyer (Cagney), Lukas Mobley, Lauren Beaird (Ethan), Aaron Mobley (Christina), Elizabeth Mobley, and Emma Mobley; and several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Funeral services to honor her life will be conducted Saturday June 6, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at the Jackson Chapel Methodist Church with Rev. Michael Holt officiating. Interment will follow in the Jackson Chapel Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday June 6, prior to the service, from 12:00 p.m. and the service hour at 1:00 p.m. at Jackson Chapel Methodist Church..
The following gentlemen will serve as Pallbearers: Ethan Beaird, Cagney Dyer, Aaron Mobley, Daylen Dyer, Tristan Dyer, and Tracy Mobley. Honorary Pallbearers will be Lance and Scott Thompson.
