Mrs. Sara Sue Lee, age 78, of Rockmart, GA passed away Saturday, February 26, 2022.
Mrs. Lee was born in Aragon, GA on May 3, 1943, a daughter of the late Charlie Byrd and the late Linnie Mae Byrd Sanford.
She had lived all of her life in Polk County and had attended Emanuel Baptist Church and West View Baptist Church.
In her free time Mrs. Lee enjoyed camping, hiking, making trips to the Smoky Mountains and spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy William Lee; daughter, Diane Lee Kirk; sons: Larry Lee and Ricky Lee; sister, Faye Byrd; and brother, Richard Byrd.
Survivors include her daughter, Tammy Lindsey; sons: Allen (Rhonda) Lee and D.J. Coker; sister, Glenda Holcomb; grandchildren: Tony Lindsey, Chris Lindsey, Bradley Lindsey, Brian Davenport, Steven Lee, Kadie Lee, Patricia Lee, Scotty Lee, Starr Costlow, Stephanie Costlow, Daley Coker and Maylee Brooke Coker; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at 3:00 pm in the chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Jack Goss and Brother Tony Baker officiating. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will include: Brian Davenport, Steven Lee, Scotty Lee, Justin Collum, Daley Coker and Tony Lindsey.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
