
Mrs. Sheila Grogan, age 76, of Cedartown, passed away peacefully and surrounded by family, Thursday, March 13, 2025.
Sheila was born November 8, 1948, daughter of the late Edward Gazaway and Evelyn Hardin McNabb.
Alongside her husband, Butch, Sheila dedicated her life to the Lord in the 70’s. She loved to shop for bargains and found much joy in decorating for every season and holiday.
For decades Sheila has poured her life into her family. She was a devoted and caring stay-at-home mom, and would later go on to become a loving and attentive Nana to her grandchildren. She was a loving wife for over fifty years and, together, she and Butch lived a fulfilling life with one another.
In addition to her parents, Sheila is preceded in death by a sister, Gail Shepherd; and brother, Jerry Gazaway.
She is survived by her husband, Butch Grogan; daughters, Kelly Jarrell and her husband, Elex, Mandy Holland and her husband, Jamie, and Jill Thornton; dearly loved grandchildren: Sarah Beth Jarrell, Owen “Tweet” Jarrell, Annie Lou Jarrell, Nolan Holland, Rah Ware, Abbye Thornton, Erin Morgan, Jessica Ollis, and Mitchell Thornton; several great grandchildren; sister, June DeMore and her husband, Ed; and numerous additional family members and friends.

Funeral services to honor Sheila’s life will be held Sunday, March 16, 2025, at 3:00 PM, in the chapel of Smith & Miller Funeral Home, with Reverend Dr. Dewayne New, Pastor Justin Carter, and Mr. Elex Jarrell officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood cemetery.
Sheila’s family will receive friends, also on Sunday at the funeral home, from 1:00 PM until the service hour.
The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Mitchell Thornton, Kyle Watters, Owen “Tweet” Jarrell, Jamie Holland, Nolan Holland, and Britt Brumby. Serving as Honorary Pallbearer will be Mr. Sonny Alexander.

Sheila’s family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the nurses, doctors, and staff at Atrium Health Floyd in Rome, Georgia, for their attentive care.
The family kindly accepts flowers, or memorial contributions may be made in her honor to the Second Baptist Church of Cedartown Building Fund, 152 Evergreen Lane, Cedartown, Ga 30125.
