
Mrs. Shirley Ann Grissom, age 78, of Rome, GA, passed away February 17, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Grissom was born in Pine Log, GA, on June 11, 1947, daughter to the late Esteen Mulkey. Mrs. Grissom was a beloved and dedicated mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.
She instilled in her the family the value of unconditional love and faithful devotion, as well as the importance of work ethic. She supported her family for many years as professional cook at the Truck Stop Steakhouse in Adairsville for many years. An avid reader, she found herself passing time after retirement enjoying her many books, as well as talking on the phone and driving around exploring. She also loved her dogs who were her faithful companions.
Mrs. Grissom leaves an indelible mark on her family and her memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her parent, Mrs. Grissom is preceded in death by brothers, Edward Robbins, John Robbins, and Daniel Robbins; and her great-granddaughter, Reagen.
Mrs. Grissom is survived by her loving daughters, Melinda Redfox, Kimberly Roberts, and Keisha Pilgrim; siblings, David Robbins, Ricky Robbins, Peggy Hensley, Lynn Turner, Wanda Smith, Dena Powell, and Jackie Grissom; grandchildren, Kenny, Kyle, Kristy, Olivia, Timothy, and Rosie; many great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; and her special “favorite ex-husband,” Michael Grissom.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Grissom will be conducted Monday March 2, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. at Parkview Baptist Church with Rev. Corey Wright and Bro. Shane Carter officiating. Interment will follow in the Lindale Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church Monday March 2, prior to the service, from 3:00 p.m. until the service hour at 4:00 p.m.
The following gentlemen will serve as Pallbearers: Arthur Byrd, Kyle Roberts, Cody Robbins, and Timothy Pilgrim.
