Mr. John “Ed” Wilson, age 69, passed away Sunday, January 18, 2026.
Mr. Wilson was born February 24, 1956, in Rockmart, Georgia, son of the late Moses Wilson, Sr. and Johnnie Fields Wilson.
Mr. Wilson truly loved the simple joys of life. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing, and took great pride in caring for his donkey, cows, and chickens.
His love for animals reflected the kindness he showed to everyone he met.
Mr. Wilson had a deep desire to help others and quietly lived that out by collecting food for “God’s Helping Hands,” a ministry he started to help those in need. His faith guided his life, and he cherished the time he spent with his church family.
Above all else, Mr. Wilson loved his family deeply and devoted his life to caring for them. A loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother, he will be remembered for his gentle spirit and generous heart and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
