Still time to help out with annual Toy Drive in Cedartown

The American Legion Women’s Auxiliary, FHF Hair Design and The West Cinema are all partnering for this holiday season to ensure that local youth won’t go without on Christmas morning.

Unwrapped gifts and toys for children are being collected at FHF Hair Design and The West Cinema in Cedartown through December 17, and they’re asking for the community to step up ahead of Christmas and give back this year.

Collections will go to local children in need across Polk County in the 17th annual Toy Drive organized with the help of FHF Hair Design.

Drop off one or more toys at 305 Main Street at FHF Hair Design during business hours, or at The West Cinema during Friday night and weekend showings (or Mystery Movie Mondays) at 112 West Avenue.

Santa visits Aragon City Hall to spread cheer ahead of Christmas

St. Nick is working on the final preparations before his big midnight ride across the globe, but he had at least one more stop to make in Polk County before Christmas.

Aragon City Hall played host to both Santa and that pesky Grinch during the final event before the holidays at hosted by the City of Aragon.

The annual tradition of providing a spot for families to grab an opportunity for a holiday snapshot and (while supplies lasted) gifts donated to children who visited during the December 19 event.

Aragon Police Chief John Tortoso additionally took photos that the city shared with residents who stopped by, and Mayor Judd Fee was on hand as well for the three-hour event.
