Teams getting back to work after July 4 break

At least one local team that is getting ready for their fall season was back to work early this morning following the July 4 break.

The stretch between mid-summer and the start of the school year began this week a practice session this morning for many of Cedartown and Rockmart’s fall sports athletes, including in the picture above the Rockmart Yellow Jackets Cross Country squad.

Social distancing rules remain in place, but other sports are hoping those guidelines will be loosened to allow for pre-season games and practice sessions to become more active.

Check back for additional information during the week for what the GHSA will decide to do as August approaches and the start of several seasons begins.
