TENNIS: Rockmart hosts first outing of 2021 on home courts with wins

Some great news for the Rockmart tennis program: they are starting out their season moving in the right direction with an opening round of wins for the boys and girls teams.

The boys continue their dominance in tennis play with a 5-0 win over the Woodland Wildcats. The Lady Jackets took a 4-1 win over their Woodland foes as well.

Rockmart hosts Rome again on Thursday for the next round of matches on the home courts. They’ll be on the road for their next five outings, facing Gordon Central, Rome, Ringgold, Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe and North Murray between Feb. 18 and March 2 before hosting Coahulla Creek on March 4.

They’ll play against Cedartown on March 5.
