Mr. Timmy Sauceda

Mr. Timmy Sauceda, age 42, passed away Wednesday, July 24, 2024.

Timmy was born September 21, 1981, in Centre, Alabama, to Sherry Sauceda and the late Eliseo Charles Sauceda. 

Timmy was of the Christian faith and attended Antioch Baptist Church. Timmy loved spending time at the lake fishing and enjoyed any time spent riding his motorcycle.

Above all, Timmy loved his family and friends. He was a devoted and caring husband, father, brother, and son. 

In addition to his father, Timmy was preceded in death by his stepfather, Jimmy Sauceda; and his grandparents, Casa Nova Baswell and Annie Baswell. 

Timmy is survived by his loving wife, Mindi Sauceda; daughters, Ashley Sauceda and Maryann Sauceda; sisters, Priscilla Graves (Robby), and Emily MCGatha; brother, Ricky Sauceda; and his mother, Sherry Sauceda. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and friends. 

Funeral services to celebrate his life will be held Saturday, July 27, 2024, at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Smith & Miller Funeral Home, with Pastor Michael Jack Goss, Pastor Henry White, and Pastor James Minter officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery with Pastor Kevin Ward officiating. 

Serving as pallbearers will be Eric Sauceda, Evan Sauceda, David Maddox, Ashley Stephens, Carlisle Pointer, Neal Hamrick, Mason Goss, and Raymond Ellis.

His family will receive friends Friday evening from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Smith & Miller Funeral Home.

Mrs. Nancy Ruth Gentry, age 78, of Adairsville, GA, passed away Monday evening, November 10, 2025.

Mrs. Gentry was born on December 26, 1946, to the late Otis Leman “Tobe” Grant and the late Lula Belle Edwards Grant.

Nancy’s working career included employment with Aragon Mills and Muzzy’s, and she later served as a medical technician at Renaissance Marquis before retiring. In her free time, she loved fishing, reading, and spending time with her grandchildren, who were the joy of her life.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Gentry was preceded in death by her husband, Phillips H. Gentry, her daughter, Phyllis Kaye Gentry; and her 3 brothers, Billy Grant, Jerry Grant, and Jimmy Grant.

She is survived by her daughters Hope Uitermark and Stacey (Brent) Ledford; her grandchildren, Celia (Doug) Hall, Wade (Renee) Ledford, Adam (Hayley) Bell, and Erin Bell; greatgrandchildren, Kipton Hall, Harper Hall, Ava Bell, Gunner Bell, Peyton Ledford, Stryker Lewis, Jackson Higdon, and Cooper Higdon; her sister, Joyce Ward; sister-in-law Joan Paulus; brother-in-law, Jackie (Shirley) Gentry; and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Nancy will be held Saturday, November 15, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Gentry and Rev. Jesse Starnes officiating. Interment will follow in the Taylorsville Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday at 12:00 noon until the service hour.

Pallbearers will include Brent Ledford, Wade Ledford, Adam Bell, Doug Hall, Kipton Hall, and Bobby Cartledge. Honorary pallbearers include Stryker Lewis, Gunner Bell, Ava Bell, Harper Hall, and Peyton Ledford.
