Mr. Timothy James Holcomb, age 72 of Cedartown, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, September 9, 2023. He was born on June 1, 1951 in Rome, Georgia. He was the son of the late Charles Henry and Doris Jackson Holcomb.
Tim spent his career at Bowater Woodlands. Tim was a man of many talents- he was both a seasoned musician as well as an experienced trainer of horses.
A lifelong resident of Cedartown, he spent several years in his 20’s on the road traveling with his band, Crosstie, as both a vocalist and guitarist. At times, he performed in front of thousands of people, captivating the crowd with his soulful voice.
Tim leaves behind a legacy of children who adored him, great stories of his adventures, as well as an extended family of friends who meant everything to him. A true cowboy, he was always there for those who needed him over the years.
Mr. Holcomb is survived by his daughter, Tara Holcomb Doria; son, Jamie Holcomb (Misty); grandson, Jackson Doria; and faithful canine companion Pepper, and she will miss him greatly.

The funeral arrangements for Mr. Timothy James Holcomb will be held on Friday, September 15, 2023 at one o’clock in the afternoon in the chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Northview Cemetery.
The family of Mr. Holcomb will receive family and friends on Friday, September 15, 2023 from eleven o’clock in the morning until the funeral hour at the Gammage Funeral Home.
Honorary pallbearers will be the CHS Class of 1969.
