Vivian Hazel Camp

Mrs. Vivian Hazel Edwards Camp, age 82 of Cedartown, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, September 21, 2024.  

She was born on November 2, 1941 in Polk County, Georgia.  She was the daughter of the late Ernest Hulsey and Gaynell Dyer Hulsey. 

Mrs. Camp is survived by her daughter, Denise Camp Chastain (Jeff); daughter-in-law, Amy Camp; grandchildren, Carissa Layne, Chloe Mae Camp, Josh Chastain, Grayson Camp, Tyler Camp (Kierstan), Kenny Camp (Kelly) and Kyle Camp (Lindsay); six great grandchildren; and sister, Ruth Ann Edwards. 

Mrs. Camp is preceded in death by her parents; husband, James “Nut” Camp and son, Craig Camp.

The funeral arrangements for Mrs. Vivian Hazel Edwards Camp will be held on Wednesday, September 25, 2024 at eleven o’clock in the morning in the chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home with Rev. Kyle Camp officiating. 

Interment will follow in the family lot of the Northview Cemetery with Rev. Kenny Camp officiating. 

The family of Mrs. Camp will receive family and friends on Tuesday, September 24, 2024 from six o’clock in the evening until eight o’clock in the evening at the Gammage Funeral Home. 

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Josh Chastain, Grayson Camp, Tyler Camp, Kenny Camp and Kyle Camp.

Mrs. Nancy Ruth Gentry, age 78, of Adairsville, GA, passed away Monday evening, November 10, 2025.

Mrs. Gentry was born on December 26, 1946, to the late Otis Leman “Tobe” Grant and the late Lula Belle Edwards Grant.

Nancy’s working career included employment with Aragon Mills and Muzzy’s, and she later served as a medical technician at Renaissance Marquis before retiring. In her free time, she loved fishing, reading, and spending time with her grandchildren, who were the joy of her life.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Gentry was preceded in death by her husband, Phillips H. Gentry, her daughter, Phyllis Kaye Gentry; and her 3 brothers, Billy Grant, Jerry Grant, and Jimmy Grant.

She is survived by her daughters Hope Uitermark and Stacey (Brent) Ledford; her grandchildren, Celia (Doug) Hall, Wade (Renee) Ledford, Adam (Hayley) Bell, and Erin Bell; greatgrandchildren, Kipton Hall, Harper Hall, Ava Bell, Gunner Bell, Peyton Ledford, Stryker Lewis, Jackson Higdon, and Cooper Higdon; her sister, Joyce Ward; sister-in-law Joan Paulus; brother-in-law, Jackie (Shirley) Gentry; and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Nancy will be held Saturday, November 15, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Gentry and Rev. Jesse Starnes officiating. Interment will follow in the Taylorsville Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday at 12:00 noon until the service hour.

Pallbearers will include Brent Ledford, Wade Ledford, Adam Bell, Doug Hall, Kipton Hall, and Bobby Cartledge. Honorary pallbearers include Stryker Lewis, Gunner Bell, Ava Bell, Harper Hall, and Peyton Ledford.
