Repairs are underway and should be completed in an hour

The Polk County Water Authority has crews out on Highway 27 South in the Cedartown area working to repair a significant water main break that is impacting customers over a widespread area this morning.

Per Water Authority personnel, the main line break on Hwy. 27 is currently impacting customers on Johnson Lake Road, Judkin Mill Road, the Tallapoosa Highway area, and as far away as Prior Station Road.

Repairs are expected to be completed within the hour after the break occurred earlier this morning.

Water pressure in areas around the break might not be available at this time, or will be lower than normal for PCWA customers in the area.
