Willard Wayne “Frog” Jacobs

Willard Wayne “Frog” Jacobs, age 70, of Rockmart, GA, passed away Monday evening, August 5, 2024, at his residence.

Frog was born in Rockmart on January 31, 1954, a son of the late Willard Horace Jacobs and Vera Jane McDowell Jacobs.

He had lived all his life in Rockmart and was a graduate of Rockmart High School. Frog worked for C.W. Mathews Contracting Company where he was a machine operator.

He enjoyed spending time outdoors, riding his motorcycle, and tinkering with his truck.

Frog cherished his time with his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Frog was preceded in death by a daughter, Jennifer Lynn Jacobs, and a brother, Joseph Larry Jacobs.

Frog is survived by four daughters, Jennifer Marie Burnley, Jane Jacobs Smith, Jessica Ann McBride, and Audrey Lynn Ramzanali, all of Rockmart, GA; a sister, Laura Marks of Piedmont, AL. Fifteen grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Mr. Jacobs will be held on Saturday afternoon, August10, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the family plot of Rose Hill Cemetery.

Frog’s family will receive friends at Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home Saturday from 12:00 noon until the funeral hour.

Pallbearers will include Gary Burnley, James Norris, Donald Smith, Jacob Smith, Khuram Ramzanali, and Dakota Jacobs.

Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home & Crematory has charge of the arrangements for Willard Wayne “Frog” Jacobs.

Obituaries

Mr. John Paul Enlow, age 79 of Rockmart, Georgia, passed away on Friday, December 12, 2025. 

He was born on October 18, 1946 in Oxford, Mississippi.  He was the son of the late Joy M. and Ouida D. Humber Enlow.

Mr. Enlow is survived by his loving wife, Sherry Ann Akridge Enlow; sons, Gregory S. Enlow, Ryan K. Enlow, Daniel E. Enlow and Jan M. Enlow;  grandchildren, Annabel S. Enlow, Patick Enlow and Mary Enlow; and great-grandchildren, Simon Enlow, Isabella Enlow, Madison Enlow and Zander Enlow. 

Mr. Enlow is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Lowell Enlow and Charles Enlow; and grandparents, Wheeler Enlow and Mable Deaton and John W. Humber and Anna V. Parsons. 

In keeping with Mr. Enlow’s wishes, he was cremated.   A memorial service will be held in the coming days.
