Mr. William Henry Brown, age 95 of Cedartown, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, July 29, 2023.
He was born on November 23, 1927 in Cedartown, Georgia. He was the son of the late Grover C. Brown and Lillie Haisten Brown.
Mr. Brown owned and operated Brown’s Jewelry in Cedartown for twenty five years where he was a jeweler and watchmaker. Mr. Brown was a veteran, serving in the United States Navy during World War II.
Mr. Brown was a longtime member of Southside Baptist Church where he served as a Sunday school teacher.
Mr. Brown is survived by his wife of sixty eight years, Bonnie Collier Brown; daughters, Karen Murphy (Mark) and Patti Stansell (Mike); grandchildren, Matt Nichols, Katie Ledford (Carson), Matthew Ivester (Bonnie) ; great-grandchildren, Lila Kate Ledford, Mary Landis, Caroline, Sally, and Charles Ivester and; sister, Myrtice Swafford (Seals) and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral arrangements for Mr. William Henry Brown will be held on Monday, July 31, 2023 at eleven o’clock in the morning in the chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home with Rev. Joel Smith and Rev. Steve Swafford officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Mr. Tony Swafford officiating.
The family of Mr. Brown will receive family and friends on Sunday, July 30, 2023 from two o’clock in the afternoon until four o’clock in the afternoon at the Gammage Funeral Home.
The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Mark Murphy, Mike Stansell, Matt Nichols, Carson Ledford, Matthew Ivester and Jerry Collier. Katie Ledford will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
