William Thomas “Bill” Seiz

William Thomas Seiz, affectionately known as Bill, passed away on May 5, 2025, leaving behind a legacy that spans both family and community.

Born on May 30, 1952, in Bossier City, Louisiana, Bill’s journey began when his family relocated to Smyrna, Georgia, at the age of five. This move marked the start of a life dedicated to personal and professional excellence in the southeastern United States.

In his youth, Bill was an active and well-liked individual, excelling in both football and wrestling. His involvement in sports not only showcased his athletic talents but also helped shape the leadership qualities that would later benefit him in his business endeavors.

In 1981, Bill co-founded Seiz Printing with his father, establishing a family-run business in Smyrna, Georgia, that would later expand to Acworth, Ga. Under his stewardship, the company became a respected name in the printing industry, known for its high-end services tailored to marketing campaigns and corporate clients. At its peak, Seiz Printing employed around 100 individuals, earning numerous awards for excellence in quality and innovation. The business thrived in a charming, renovated thread mill, steeped in Southern tradition, and was recognized for its exceptional contributions to the local economy.

Beyond his professional life, Bill was a man of diverse interests. He enjoyed reading, playing golf, riding bikes, sailing, and cheering for the Atlanta Braves. Most importantly, he cherished time spent with his family, consistently prioritizing their well-being and happiness.

Bill is survived by his brothers, Emil Charles Seiz IV of Dallas, Georgia, and James Edward Seiz of Woodstock, Georgia; his former wife, Elizabeth Hilderbrand of Freeport, Florida; his sons, William Thomas Seiz II (Michelle) of Acworth, Georgia, Adam Adair Seiz (Stephanie) of Pine Lake, Georgia, and Charles Stanley Seiz (Candace) of Cedartown, Georgia; and his beloved grandchildren, Preston, Avery, McKenzie, and Jestin Stanley Seiz; companion, Holly Traweek .

As we remember Bill, we celebrate a life well-lived, marked by dedication to family, community, and his professional craft. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
