A female driver avoided major injuries, but at least one vehicle was totaled and the front entrance to Barterhouse Bar and Grill in Rockmart was closed after slick roadways caused a wreck on Highway 278 this evening.

Rockmart Police reported that a female driver had only minor injuries and didn’t need a trip to the hospital after her vehicle went hydroplaning off Highway 278 near Prospect Road and ended up in the parking lot of Barterhouse.

The driver’s vehicle then struck a parked vehicle and knocked it into a third. That third one then was pushed into the front area of Barterhouse, knocking down a column in the process.

No other injuries were reported in the process.

Barterhouse Bar and Grill reported that they were open, but patrons were being asked to use another entrance and not the left one.
