Sgt. Barry Henderson

Sgt. Barry Henderson, age 50 of Rome, Georgia and formerly of Cedartown, Georgia passed away on Tuesday,  March 9, 2021.

Barry was born November 29, 1970 to the late Robert & Frances Henderson and was also preceded in death by Bobby Henderson, Anthony Henderson and Wanda Henderson. Barry was employed for many years with the Polk County Sheriffs Office.

Surviving are his wife Chrisy Henderson, Children Jessica Couch, Lee Couch (Brooke & Zoe Temples) Andrew Henderson (Caitlyn & West) Brothers and Sisters Jojo Henderson (Ponda), Tim Henderson (Freda), Greg Henderson (Tina), Danny Henderson (Claudia) and Nancy Joiner (Chuck) multiple nieces and nephews and furbabies Hope & Holly also surviving.

A celebration of life service for Sgt. Barry Henderson will be held Saturday March 13, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church with Chaplin David Thorton, Mr. Mat Meeks & Chief Deputy Jonathan Blackmon officiating, Interment will follow in the Polk Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Saturday March 13, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. until the funeral hour at the First Baptist Church.

Pallbearers will include Polk S.O. Special Operations Major Rachel Haddix, Deputy’s Jeff Walker, David Adcock, Carey Atkins, Eric Faulkenberry, Paige Atkins and Casey Blackmon.

Honorary Pallbearers will include Ret. Sheriff Tim Burkhalter, Sheriff Dave Roberson, Sheriff Johnny Moats, Ret. Cpt. Gary Simmons, Sgt. Archie Mckinney, Sgt. Kevin Chandler, Cpl. Kerry Eason, Cpt. Scott Ford, Cpl. Mike Jones, Cpt. Jamie Kirby, Cpl. John Evans, Cpt. Frankie Folsom and all law enforcement personal.
