Other agencies help out with bust that nets several ounces of marijuana, THC cartridges

The Aragon Police Department thanked sister agencies from Polk County and Bartow County for their help with the arrest of two men who had marijuana and THC cartridges they tried to sell ton an Aragon PD officer over Snapchat.

According to their page, they arrested Lloyd Clemons and Carson Steele at Dollar General after the pair alleged to have tried to setup a drug deal with an Aragon Police Officer via Snapchat.

Per the APD post, the officer went through with it and had Clemons and Steele meet at the Dollar General this evening not long after they initially made what was apparently blind contact via social media.

Aragon Police then reached out to Bartow County Drug Task Force, Polk County Drug Task Force, Polk County Police and Rockmart Police for help with the bust, that took place at 8:15 p.m.

Officers were able to seize 73 grams – or 2.5 ounces of marijuana – and THC cartridges in the car they were driving.

No booking information was immediately available for Clemons or Steele.

On May 9, 2023, an Aragon Officer received a snapchat message asking if he would like to purchase some narcotics. Apparently, this is a new way of selling narcotics. The Aragon Officer made the arrangements and the dope dealer stated he would deliver.

Arrangements were made for the time and location. At approximately 2015 hours, two individuals arrived at the dollar general store on New Prospect Road matching the vehicle description that was provided by the dealers to the officers. Aragon Officers along with Polk County Police Department Officers, Rockmart Police Department Officers, Polk County Drug Task Force and Bartow County Officers was able to take two suspects into custody without incident.

A search was conducted of the vehicle and approximately 73grams of marijuana and 34 THC cartridges were located.

The Aragon Police Department would like to thank Polk County Police Department, Rockmart Police Department, Polk County DTF, and Bartow County DTF for their assistance. The two suspects taken into custody is Lloyd Clemons and Carson Steele both from Bartow County.
