
A man on a bicycle was stopped by Aragon Police while riding late at night with no reflectors or lights, and was found with marijuana and methamphetamine according to reports.
Police jailed Tyler Lee Graham, 32, of 1271 Prospect Road, Rockmart, on a felony and three misdemeanor charges after being stopped just after 10:45 p.m. on Monday, June 14 on his bicycle at First and Magnolia Streets near the mill pond.
Aragon Police reported that Graham was riding at night “without any illuminated lights on the bicycle” and that once stopped, the reporting officer smelled marijuana coming from his person.
Based on that, police detained Graham and searched him, finding both marijuana and methamphetamine on his person.
Officers left the bicycle at the intersection for another man to come get, and took Graham to jail without further incident.
He remained booked with bond set at $5,050 on the felony charge of possession of methamphetamine, along with misdemeanor offenses of bicycle light at night required, possession and use of drug related objects and possession of marijuana less than an ounce.
