HARALSON COUNTY – A woman was charged earlier this week in Haralson County and later booked into jail into Carroll County on a warrant after it was found that she was ransacking a relative’s property of thousands of dollars worth of value, even going so far as to remove a large barn from the property.
Kelley Joy Miller, 47, previously of a Buchanan-area address on Cobb Mountain, was booked into the Haralson County Jail on Monday after the Haralson County Sheriffs Office were called out to evict her from a property on Eaves Bridge Road that was owned by a relative now in a senior care facility.
Miller and a second woman who was arrested on the property, Celestial Marie-Armoure Marzullo, were taken into custody without any reported incident per a release from the Haralson County Sheriffs Office.
According tot he release, Miller had been previously evicted from the property and was given until Friday to move out. When on Monday deputies arrived and found her on the property, it was found that at least $100,000 worth of items were taken.
Including but not limited to appliances, an entire round of pasture fencing for the property, and two buildings including a 32×28 foot metal barn.
The release stated that Miller admitted to taking the barn and other items from the property to another address. It was unclear if all the items had yet been located, including the barn.
She also had a warrant out of Carroll County for Failure to Appear.
Miller was booked in Haralson County and released on a $6,000 bond for felony theft by taking and misdemeanor criminal trespass.
Marzullo remained in the Polk County Jail after she was brought into Polk County for a Failure to Appear warrant as well. Her bond was set at $500 as of her Monday arrest.
