To the voters of Polk County:

My name is Linda Liles, and I’m asking for your support to continue the work I began earlier this year to help Polk County grow and always work to be a better place to live.

When I first met my husband Hubert (Hub) and learned of how wonderful a place Polk County is, I fell in love. He brought me here in 1998 after I met him. I’m forever grateful that he did, because I can’t imagine a day where I don’t enjoy walking over our 30 acre farm where we have cows.

Over the past two decades, I have been lucky enough to work with two congressmen that have been great supporters and leaders in Northwest Georgia. I will always remember my time fondly working for Congressman Phil Gingrey, and then for Congressman Tom Graves. Both continue to advocate for growth across the district and right here in Polk County.

Thankful for the opportunity the Board of Commissioners gave me back in April to serve, I hope that you, the voter will allow me to continue the work I’ve started while serving you as a District 2 Commissioner.

Since being appointed, I have served proudly on the Public Safety Committee, and am learning more everyday about the ways in which our local government can do more to support the men and women serving in law enforcement, along with our volunteer firefighters and paramedics.

Your support will also help my work move forward on helping provide Polk County residents who live outside the city with better internet connections as the Board of Commissioners begins the process of looking for ways to expand broadband to every corner of our community.

Most importantly, I want to help our county’s economic development grow in the years to come and provide high paying work for our residents. My goal is to make sure that there are options for people to find jobs right here in our community and not have to drive long distances to work.

I am the proud daughter of a World War II veteran, and was born on McDill Air Force Base in Florida. I support our soldiers and sailors fighting overseas to protect the United States, and am a proud member of the Republican Party.

Please support your local community and go vote on November 3.

Sincerely,

Linda Liles
