A fun lesson for local youth took place on Tuesday as their parents weren’t the only one who were heading to the voting booth.
Covenant Christian School provide students with a chance to learn about the importance of voting in the United States, but their votes weren’t quite as important as what older participants in the Election were deciding on Tuesday.

Pre-K students voted on their favorite color (a tie between pink and blue,) while their seniors in Kindergarten learned about America and patriotism. Fourth graders voted on their favorite cookies – chocolate chip won 4-2 – and high schooler voted for the class president.
Andrew Wright won the vote against London Mitchell in their race.
