Cedar Valley Arts Festival coming up this weekend in Cedartown

It’s almost time for the 57th annual Cedar Valley Arts Festival! If you’re from Polk County, you already know– this event is a huge showcase of local artists, crafts, food, and entertainment for the entire community to enjoy.

When the festival began in 1954, the event was championed by the Downtown Merchant Association of Cedartown and eventually transferred to the Junior Service League by 1970. It is their mission to sponsor love and appreciation for the arts here in Polk County, as the festival is hosted right downtown in Historic Peek Park.

Beginning this Saturday, April 23, 2022, bring the family out to the park for a full day of fun activities, with everything from fresh food vendors to arts and crafts and live entertainment from all over the community. There will also be a certified 5 and 10 K Road Race beginning at 8 AM, and a car show from 10 AM to 2 PM.

Festival hours on Saturday are from 10 AM until 6 PM. If you can’t make it out on Saturday, festival hours for Sunday, April 24 will begin at 10 AM and last until 5 PM, with a dog show at 2 PM.

Admission to the Cedar Valley Arts Festival is free, and the show continues rain or shine. Payment terms are determined by the individual vendors, so make sure to have cash on hand when planning to attend.

Historic Peek Forest Park is located at 607 College Street in downtown Cedartown.
