A new mural is underway and shouldn’t take much longer to complete being completed by the same artist who came to Cedartown last year to provide a welcoming artwork along the Silver Comet Trail.

The new “Welcome to Cedartown” mural featuring Coca-Cola styling of old is the handy work of John W. Christian, who was commissioned by Penny Pinchers to complete the project. The mural itself sits on the side of the Rent-A-Center location at the corner of South College Street and West Avenue.

It is the latest mural to be added to downtown, and the second one that features Coca-Cola in recent years. The other is near the Cedartown Museum of Coca-Cola Memorabilia and commissioned by the Morris family as a restoration project from the original signage that was painted on the side of the building years ago.
