More than 100 years after the Cedartown Kiwanis Club began, a third generation was honored for his longevity in the same organization his father and grandfather helped start.

George Mundy was honored for 45 years of service within the club during their late July meeting at the Cherokee Golf and Country Club in Cedartown.

Mundy is a local attorney and Air Force veteran.

The club honored him with a certificate during their July 28 meeting and provided him with a 45th anniversary cake.
