The Polk County Chamber of Commerce is changing up one of their annual gala events that gives business and community leaders the opportunity to talk about the successes of the year is heading online this year.
Through the week of October 26 through October 30, the Chamber is planning on providing pre-taped messages from officials from the cities of Cedartown, Rockmart and Aragon, from Polk County, and the Polk School District. Videos will also feature various organizations like the Chamber, the Development Authority and even sponsors of the annual event from Georgia Power and Family Savings Credit Union.
“Due to event guidelines presented by the state, the State of Community has moved to a virtual format for the safety of our guests,” according to Polk County Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Blair Elrod. “Although virtual, this certainly does not diminish the successes and accomplishments of our many entities who have continued to provide excellent service to our residents during this pandemic.”
Elrod said that two videos will be posted each day during the final week of the month instead of all the presentations being provided at once at the annual gala event.
Be on the lookout for the opening video of the week from Elrod, who will be providing an update on how the organization has weathered a chaotic 2020.
Along with the postings on the Chamber’s Facebook page, be on the lookout for links and stories on each presentation being provided as well.
