Mr. Donald “Don” Neil Hollingsworth, age 79, of Acworth, GA passed away Sunday, April 3, 2022.

Mr. Hollingsworth, who was affectionately known as “Don Hollywood”, was born on October 30, 1942 in Galesburg, IL to the late Mr. Robert Hollingsworth and the late Mrs. Marjorie DeBord Hollingsworth.

Don proudly served in the United States Air Force. He retired from Lockheed Martin and was a member of Talking Rock Creek Chapel.

He enjoyed woodworking and made writing pens, bowls, and bottle stoppers. He loved to cook and grill. He also enjoyed listening to Jazz music. He had belonged to the Masonic Lodge and to the Shrine.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Robert and Mrs. Marjorie Hollingsworth.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Hollingsworth of Acworth; two daughters, Ashlee Forscher (Stewart) of Cumming and Heather Hill (Brian) of Fayetteville; son, Mark Hollingsworth of Cumming; sister, Beverly Karfiol (Sy) of California; brother, Doug Hollingsworth (Karen) of Ann Arbor, Michigan; three grandchildren, Logyn Hill, Owen Forscher, and Collins Forscher; his beloved dog, Trooper; as well as many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, April 9th at 2:00pm from the Chapel of Bellamy Funeral Home with Rev. Dennis Bellamy officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, April 9th from 1:00pm until 2:00pm. Mr. Hollingsworth will be interred at Georgia National Cemetery at a later date.
