A Cedartown man was arrested by the Polk County Drug Task Force with the help of other agencies on charges related to drug trafficking and cocaine possession, according to a release they filed earlier in the day.

Taurean Reeves was jailed and later released on a $20,000 bond after he was raided by the Drug Task Force, local police K-9 officers from surrounding agencies, and federal authorities like the Drug Enforcement Agency and members of the North Georgia HIDTA on Central Street on November 10.

POLK COUNTY – Task Force Agents with the assistance of Cedartown Police K-9 Officer Zuker and K- 9 Bono, Cedartown Police Department, Polk County Police K-9 Officer Norris and K-9 Joep, DEA Rome POD, North Georgia HIDTA, and DEA SRT conducted a search warrant at 227 Central Street Cedartown, GA 30125. During the execution of this search warrant Cocaine, handguns, working digital scales, US Currency, and packaging items were located.

Taurean Reeves was arrested and charged with the following charges: Possession of Cocaine a schedule II controlled substance, Possession of Cocaine with intent to distribute, Possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Once Reeves arrived at the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, Reeves was found to be in possession of cocaine and marijuana. Reeves was also charged with possession of cocaine a Schedule II drug, possession of less than one ounce of marijuana, and crossing guard line with drugs.
