DTF finds meth, other drugs and cash during Aragon search

The Polk County Drug Task Force completed an investigation on Wednesday with a search warrant conducted in Aragon that turned up drugs and cash, according to the Task Force’s commander.

DTF Commander Jonathan Fuller reported that agents on Wednesday morning raided 326 Live Oak Road in Aragon and arrested Amanda Celeste Deems, 40, of the same address and Nicholas Fain Proctor, 31, 33 Tolbert Road, Rockmart, after the pair were found in possession of multiple types of narcotics and at least $1,000 in cash.

Included in Wednesday’s discovery at the Aragon home was a “trafficking amount of meth” along with cocaine, marijuana and prescription pills, per Fuller.

He said the pair were taken into custody without further incident.

The Drug Task force charged both with felonies for trafficking in cocaine, illegal drugs, marijuana or methamphetamine; possession of methamphetamine; possession of methamphetamine with intent; purchase, possession, manufacture, distribution or sale of marijuana; possession of cocaine; sale of cocaine; two counts of possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance; two counts of possession of a Schedule IV Controlled Substance; and possession of tools for commission of a crime.

Deems was also charged with a probation violation. She remains in custody at the Polk County Jail without bond set on any of counts against her. Deems was previously arrested in late December by Rockmart Police on theft by shoplifting and criminal trespass charges.

Proctor is also being held without bond set.
