DTF: Friday Search Warrant yields numerous types of drugs, guns and two arrests

The Polk County Drug Task Force arrested two and uncovered drugs of all kinds during a raid on a Central Street residence in Cedartown.

Drug Task Force Commander and Rockmart PD Assistant Chief Jonathan Fuller reported on Tuesday afternoon that ahead of the holiday weekend, agents conducted an afternoon raid on Friday, February 17 at the home of Taurean Antonio Reeves, 42, of 227 Central Street in Cedartown.

When agent arrived, they found Reeves, Michael Holley and Marshall Dewayne Moore.

The search found heroin, fentanyl, methamphetamine, cocaine, marijuana, ecstasy, prescription pills, and two handguns – one on Reeves, one on Holley.

Agents also found operational scales and baggies, and $386 in cash in Reeves residence on Central Street.

Holley – who also had an outstanding warrant – was found with “multiple bags of marijuana” along with prescription pills.

Moore was charged with obstruction.

The Drug Task Force noted this is the second time in 15 months they have arrested Reeves on drug and weapons charges.




In late 2021, Reeves was arrested by the Drug Task Force with cocaine, handguns, marijuana and more.

Reeves remained in custody at the Polk County Jail with bond denied on felony charges of possession of heroin, possession of methamphetamine, possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana, three counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent, trafficking in cocaine, illegal drugs, marijuana or methamphetamine; manufacture, deliver, distribute marijuana, and possession of firearm by convicted felon or first offender.

Bond was also denied for Holley, 47, also the Central Street address in Cedartown. He was charged with felonies for possession of marijuana, possession of ecstasy, possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, possession of tools for the commission of a crime, possession of firearm or knife during commission of or attempt to commit certain felonies, and a misdemeanor for drugs not in original container.

Moore, 40, of a Cedartown address, was only charged with misdemeanor obstruction of law enforcement officers. He remained in jail on a $2,500 bond as of this posting.
