A Cedartown man was arrested by the Polk County Drug Task Force when they ran into him while working out in the community on Thursday, according to officials.

The DTF reported that Bobby Lee Malone, 40, of a Cedartown address, was taken into custody by a DTF agent who saw and recognized Malone and knew he had an aggravated assault warrant out for his arrest.

He was taken into custody without further incident, per the DTF.

Once at the jail, he was further searched and found to be in possession of methamphetamine.

He remained in custody on felony and misdemeanor charges without bond set.

Malone is charged with aggravated assault, criminal damage to property in the second degree, possession of methamphetamine, and unlawful to come inside guard lines to deliver to inmate controlled substance, etc., battery and obstruction or hindering persons making emergency telephone call.
