Dunkin, Longhorn building progress being made in Rockmart

From the looks of things, progress on two new restaurants is gaining traction and buildings are on track to be done by springtime for opening dates in 2025.

Dunkin Donuts and Longhorn Steakhouse announced earlier in the year their intentions to expand into Polk County with locations in Rockmart at the intersection of Highway 278 and Goodyear Avenue, and now significant progress has been made on the pair of buildings.

The next steps on the construction projects? Ensure the buildings are closed in to the weather so they can get started on the interior.

A groundbreaking took place over the summer, and after utilities and paving was completed work began on the two locations sitting above the roadway on the corner parcel. When future patrons to the new restaurants drive up into the parking lots via the entrance on Goodyear Avenue, Dunkin Donuts will be on their left and Longhorn Steakhouse on their right.

Both of the national chains have locations around Polk, but are the latest to push into a growing market in West Georgia.

Dunkin Donuts and Longhorn both already have locations in Rome, Cartersville and Paulding County (Dallas & Hiram.) Dunkin also has a location near I-20 in Bremen.

O’Leary Partners developed the initial site layout and is leasing the space to both Dunkin Donuts and Longhorn Steakhouse for their restaurant locations. A groundbreaking was completed in late July.
