Early morning wreck injures three on South Main Street in Cedartown

A wreck on South Main Street in Cedartown early this morning saw three people taken to the hospital and still had the roadway shut down before 11 a.m.

Cedartown Police Chief Jamie Newsome reported the wreck occurred around 6 a.m. this morning and involved a logging truck, and a late-model Toyota Tacoma and Chevrolet Cruz.

The Georgia State Patrol took over the scene from Cedartown Police and remain on the scene as cleanup operations continued hours after the wreck and kept South Main Street between Cason Road and the turn back onto Highway 27 South.

Those looking to bypass the wreck can use Cason Road and turn onto the bypass from the Cason Road turnoff.

Check back for additional details as they become available.
