Congratulations goes out to the family of Granger Tate Simmons of Rockmart, the first baby born in the year of 2021 at Floyd Medical Center in Rome.

Baby Granger came into this world at 12:08 a.m. according to a release from FMC, weighing in at 7 pounds and 11.6 ounces and a height of 20.5 inches.

His parents Donovan Simmons and Peyton Tate are from Rockmart, according to Floyd’s release. Granger also has a three-year-old brother Easton Simmons as well.

Dr. Margaret Marion performed the delivery, with the help of Nurse Tori Cochran and delivery attendees Hayden Cordell, Brandi Cash, Haley Lewis, Sydni Roe and Heather Tallent.
