Board of Elections website will be posting daily updates
The first day of early voting at the Polk County Board of Elections
443 absentee ballots by mail were issued out, and 13 have already been turned in as of Monday close of business.
Between both precincts, 498 voters reported to cast their ballots in Cedartown and Rockmart head of the November 8 election.
It’s a big start to a midterm early voting period, per Elections Director Noah Beck.
Additionally, he said the start of early voting allows the Board of Elections to now debut an update to their county webpage.
Beck said that through this early voting period, updates will be posted after each day that ballots are cast to allow for the public to keep up with how many ballots are being cast at the polls.
Additional information about when logic and accuracy testing happened, announcements about the special elections and qualifying, and much more will now be posted to the page on a regular basis.
