Skating has been around a long time in Polk County, but a local business focused on ensuring people of all ages can glide along to good times is celebrating a big anniversary underway in 2025.

The party begins on Friday night, January 17 with the MLK Late Skate, being held from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. as Fun Wheels Skating Center celebrates their 50th Anniversary to start the year.

Fun continues on Saturday, January 18, from 4 to 7 p.m. with an event for the whole family, being presented by WGAA Radio. Adults can continue the fun from 8 p.m. to midnight featuring DJ Silver playing skate jams through the rest of the night.

The celebrations end on Sunday, January 19 from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. with a 21-and-over event featuring Kevin Allen Music Production.

Sunday’s event is a non-skating event.
