Cedar Valley Arts Festival returns this weekend for 59th edition

Dozens of vendors were already getting setup for the spring’s big event in Cedartown.

The Cedar Valley Arts Festival returns starting Saturday morning with the annual 5K/10K Road Race with the starting gun set around 8 a.m., followed by awards ceremonies and then the opening of festival events at 10 a.m.

Also on Saturday, April 27 the annual Car Show setup begins with an 8 a.m. start. The Car Show continues until 3 p.m.

Stopping in this afternoon, vendors were getting setup for the festival in Peek Park around the new playground and through the open areas. Even some carnival rides and the “train” are ready for the fun to start on Saturday morning.

Saturday’s fun continues through until 6 p.m. The Arts Festival opens again on Sunday at 10 a.m. and continues until 5 p.m.

The annual Dog Show is set for 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 28.
