A man who has spent the past decades making sure that everyone has a great time at the Aragon BBQ was honored for his longtime service to the community during Thursday’s City Council meeting.

Jack Goss, who this year jumped in last minute to help with the entertainment lineup once again, was presented with a plaque and a handshake in thanks for more than 30 years of volunteer service to helping plan the Aragon BBQ in one capacity or another.

City officials discussed getting a second plaque to honor Goss to keep at city hall, and potentially create a Citizen of the Year award to celebrate those doing good deeds within city limits annually.

Goss and many others will be at Pittman Park starting this evening and all day on Saturday making sure everything runs smoothly for the 49th annual Aragon BBQ.
