Injuries reported in a wreck on Highway 278

At least two people were injured in a two vehicle wreck on Highway 278 at Wheeler Road this morning, according to Polk County Police Chief Kenny Dodd.

Two pickup trucks were reported to have collided around 8:20 a.m., and the driver and the passenger of a blue truck with a yet reported make and model that overturned and came to a rest on its roof were pulled out and taken by paramedics for emergency treatment. There’s no word on any individuals within a white pickup truck that was also involved in the incident.

Georgia State Patrol is handling the wreck, more information will become available as soon as possible.

Travel on Highway 278 at Wheeler Road is currently shut down.

I am the girlfriend of the driver of the blue vehicle.
The blue Vehicle was a 1980 Ford F250.
The driver is okay of the white truck. The driver of the blue truck is now home cut up really bad with a bunch of Stitch’s. The passenger was stable and talking when he was at Floyd. He was transferred to Erlanger because the impact broke his skull right above his eye.
