Mrs. Katherine Green Easterwood, age 97, of Cedartown passed away Monday, April 7, 2025.

Mrs. Easterwood was born April 27, 1927, daughter of the late Seab Green and Essie Smith Green.

She was a fashionable lady who enjoyed helping others throughout her career as a social worker. She always enjoyed traveling either by plane or boat.

Even up to the age of 85, she and her husband enjoyed riding motorcycles. She was a faithful volunteer with her sorority Beta Sigma Phi for many years.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Easterwood is preceded in death by her two sisters, Elizabeth Green Ulery and Ann Green Perryman.

She is survived by her loving husband, Larry H. Easterwood; son, Bennie “Craig” Vinson and his wife, Pamela; daughter, Victoria Vinson; beloved grand dog, Jack. Several nephews and cousins also survive.

Graveside service will be held Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Polk Memory Gardens with Reverend Anthony Trawick officiating.

The family has respectfully requested that flowers be omitted and memorial contributions be made in her memory to the Cedartown/Polk County Animal Human Society.
