A man was brought back to Polk County and booked into custody over the weekend on multiple charges including homicide by vehicle after his involvement in a June wreck on Prior Station Road.
John Caleb Dixon, 31, of a McIntyre, Georgia, address was booked into custody on Sunday evening, September 22, on multiple charges following a stay in the hospital and charges he also faced in Wilkinson County (east of the Macon area.)
He faces charges after the death of Jacquline Adreanna Lynn Ledbetter, 26, involved in a June 15 wreck on Prior Station Road at the intersection of Dry Creek Road.
Both were seriously injured when the Hyundai Accent being driven by Dixon went into the curve too fast near the intersection of Dry Creek Road on Prior Station Road driving westbound and went off the roadway, down an embankment and crashed into a tree.
Ledbetter and Dixon were both airlifted to an Atlanta-area hospital for treatment. She died of her injuries at Kennestone Hospital.
Dixon was later released from the hospital, and was transported to the Polk County Jail to face charges locally from Wilkinson County over the weekend.
He remained in custody awaiting a bond hearing on felony charges of homicide by vehicle in the first degree, DUI and a probation violation along with misdemeanors for failure to maintain lane, too fast for conditions, open container violation and suspended registration.
