An Aragon man was jailed on Thursday afternoon by Polk County Sheriff’s deputies on warrants stemming from a December 2023 incident, according to reports.
The PCSO booked Roger Dale Barnhart, 46, of an Aragon address, on Thursday afternoon, November 7 on warrants for terroristic threats and acts, criminal damage to property and simple assault.
Per a Polk County Police report taken at the time, Barnhart did damage to a home after throwing things around inside a residence and broke windows during a domestic altercation with the victim following an initial argument over communications apps on his phone.
He had tried to get into the home after he left the residence and when refused entry, broke in and began his ranting destruction, per the report.
He fled the scene before police arrived, but later sent threats and promises to harm the victim and police if they got involved and didn’t comply with his demands to be picked up from a hiding place near an Aragon-area church.
He at one point threatened to burn the residence down with the victim inside, the report noted.
No immediate information was available about the events leading up to his booking on Tuesday.
