Polk County Police on Sunday night were seeking help from the public a second time over the weekend.

They wanted help and posted on social media looking for a man who went driving off on Sunday and hadn’t returned home.

Polk County Police sought the public’s help during the late evening posting on their Facebook page looking for 74-year-old Edward Cushing. He had left earlier in the evening, and they were seeking to ensure he was alive and well with the posting.

Fortunately, police did later locate Cushing outside of Polk County, and all they could report was that he was well.

No additional information was expected to be forthcoming about the incident.

Police also sought the public’s help earlier in the day on Sunday finding the parents of a child who was found walking along Johnson Lake Road during the morning hours. Social media also helped find those parents.

An investigation was still ongoing about that matter.
