Man shot by PCPD will face charges for domestic incident

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation confirmed that a man shot by Polk County Police and recovering from his wounds will eventually face charges for a domestic incident.

GBI Public Relations officials confirmed to Polk Today over the weekend that Flint Dawson Warren, 63, will face charges for battery under the family violence act and cruelty to children.

Warren was shot when police reported that he reached for a gun on his waist during his encounter with Polk County Police officers.

He was airlifted immediately after the incident on Wednesday to an area hospital.

Though he will face the charges, he has not yet been booked at the Polk County Jail.
