The last bit of brick was being put up on the back of the building on Saturday afternoon at Mavis Tire and Brake’s newest location in Rockmart, which opened like their sister location in Cedartown without fanfare during the holiday week.

Workers were still busy at the tire store that was also serving customers this weekend after they opened earlier this week as the first business to open on a stretch between Arby’s and Walmart shopping complex corner on the northside of Nathan Dean Bypass.

Mavis Tire and Brakes in Rockmart is located at 1301 Nathan Dean Bypass, Rockmart and hours are daily. They are open Mondays through Fridays from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Services include everything from putting on new tires and brake repairs to oil changes, various checks and inspects, and muffler and exhaust work.

The store marks its second location in Polk County after the Cedartown store opened at the end of October.
