Mr. Hamby Hutcheson, Jr. age 80, of Dallas, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, February 27, 2022, at his residence.

Mr. Hutcheson was born on January 13, 1942, in Rockmart, Georgia, to Mr. Hamby Hutcheson, Sr. and Mrs. Mescal (Coalson) Hutcheson.

He was married to Mrs. Ethel Marie (Holland) Hutcheson for 60+ years. He worked as a chemical technician for Eastman for many years. He was a member of the Dallas High School Class of 1960.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, son, brother, and uncle.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing, especially with his children and grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hamby (Mescal Coalson) Hutcheson, Sr.; his brother, Mr. Royce Hutcheson and his sister, Mrs. Fern Sasser.

Hamby is survived by his loving wife, Mrs. Marie Hutcheson; his son, Mr. Marty Hutcheson; his daughter, Mrs. Melinda Ragsdale (Robert); his son, Mr. Michael Hutcheson (Jeanette); his grandchildren, Scott Ragsdale (Cassie), Rachel Womack (Jud), Jessica Ruse (Joey) and Christopher Hutcheson; his great grandchildren, Dixie Womack, Zowie Womack, Sophie Womack, Slate Womack, Tyler Ragsdale, and Wesley Ragsdale; his sister, Mrs. Elwanda Walker; his brother, Mr. Alan Hutcheson (Carolyn); nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral Services for Mr. Hamby Hutcheson, Jr. will be held on Thursday, March 3, 2022, 2:00 P.M.at Benson Funeral Home with Rev. Joe Pritchard and Michael Hutcheson officiating. Interment will follow at Dallas Memory Gardens.

The family will be receiving friends on Wednesday, March 2, 2022, from 5:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. and Thursday, March 3, 2022, from 12:00 P.M. – 2:00 P.M. All visitations will be held at Benson Funeral Home.
