A new Chick-fil-A location is being added to Polk County in the coming months, this one coming to the area of most development in recent years in Cedartown.

And Kristen Pruitt Brannon will be running the show.

She posted on her Facebook this evening the announcement that she’s going to be the owner-operator of the Cedartown Chick-fil-A. She and her husband Tyler and their child Gaines will be making a return trip home, as Brannon is a Rockmart native who has been operating a store at the Valdosta Mall in south Georgia.

“Our time in Valdosta has been the sweetest and hardest,” she posted on Facebook,” she posted on her page. “It has brought us so much joy and we are sad to leave our team, our friends and our church family.”

She’s glad however to be returning home to be near family, and to be operating the new store which she said is coming in 2023.

The new location, per city officials with knowledge of the pending construction, said an outparcel in front of the Tractor Supply Company will be home to the new Chick-fil-A.

It’ll be the second location in Polk County. The current location in Rockmart opened in 2017. They’re celebrating their five-year anniversary on September 14.

Owner Zach Thomas brought the popular chain restaurant to Polk County after he ran a store in Cobb County.

Polk Today has reached out to Brannon for further comment. Check back for more as it becomes available.
