Paving completed on restaurants project in Rockmart

Longhorn, Dunkin Donuts set to open in 2025

It’ll still take several months before construction is completed and new restaurant options open their doors in Rockmart, but progress is being made toward a pair of national chains bringing their food offerings to Polk.

Paving is completed for driveways into what will be Longhorn Steakhouse and Dunkin Donuts in Rockmart, along with much of the utility work on the site at the corner of Goodyear Avenue and Nathan Dean Parkway.

A groundbreaking ceremony was held in late July for the site where the pair of national restaurants will go. Weather has stayed mainly dry and given contractors the opportunity to make real progress on the corner location.

The project announced earlier in 2024 has been nearly two years in the making. O’Leary Partners developed the initial site layout and is leasing the space to both Dunkin Donuts and Longhorn Steakhouse for their restaurant locations, and the two chains will be putting up their buildings based on specifications for their needs.

The layout of the new property will put the main entrance on Goodyear Avenue just before the turn onto Old Cartersville Road, utilizing the original driveway but widened for vehicles to get in and out in two lanes.

Dunkin Donuts and Longhorn Steakhouse have locations all around Polk County, but this is the first foray into the local market amid continued expansion through the Rockmart area.

Rome, Cartersville, Hiram, Dallas and Bremen all have locations of both restaurants.
