An Aragon man was found behind a convenience store on Friday aftr inexplicably climbing in and out from under the Aragon Historical Society building, according to Polk County Police reports.

Donald James Taschereau, 39, of an Aragon address, was found behind Wolfe’s Store matching the description of a man who was searching around the Aragon History Museum just before 11:45 a.m. on June 28.

Per the report, police got video from the Dollar General located across the street to confirm he was the suspect they were looking for at the time.

The report stated the video caught a good view of Taschereau climbing under the porch of the building and out again. Officers found no sign of forced entry into the building or damage at the time of the incident.

Taschereau was also found when searched with a piece of mail belonging to another individual.

PCPD took him into custody without incident and took him onward to the Polk County Jail where he remained as of this posting on a $1,400 bond.
